Online Visibility and Scientific Relevance of Strabismus Research: Bibliometric Analysis

It is crucial, however, to bear in mind the inherent limitations of AAS due to the fact that it is ultimately only a metric of “mentions” or “posts” and is not an indicator of research quality or legitimacy [20]. In isolation, it may be deemed unreliable, as “viral” papers that do not exhibit robust research methodology or present sensible conclusions may still acquire a high AAS.

A New Performance Metric to Estimate the Risk of Exposure to Infection in a Health Care Setting: Descriptive Study

A New Performance Metric to Estimate the Risk of Exposure to Infection in a Health Care Setting: Descriptive Study

In this study, a novel HH performance metric is proposed to quantify the individual patient’s exposure risk to infection. This parameter, called patient exposure risk, changes the focus from improving HCWs’ compliance rate to reducing the patient’s risk of infection. Different examples are discussed to show the likely ability of the new proposed metric compared to the traditional compliance rate in estimating the infection risk for patients.

A Novel Metric to Quantify the Effect of Pathway Enrichment Evaluation With Respect to Biomedical Text-Mined Terms: Development and Feasibility Study

Then, the probability for this instance is as follows: The P value used to address the significance of the pathway for the gene set is as follows: The P value as a traditional enrichment metric reflects solid statistical concern in terms of chance computation. It relies on the hypothesis that the chance for each gene belonging to a given gene set is equal.

Latin America and the Caribbean SARS-CoV-2 Surveillance: Longitudinal Trend Analysis

Latin America and the Caribbean SARS-CoV-2 Surveillance: Longitudinal Trend Analysis

The persistence effect is the only surveillance metric that controls for incomplete case ascertainment and data contamination. It also is consistent with superspreader events or an underlying condition that persists from the last week to the current week. Static surveillance metrics are presented in Table 2 for the week of September 30 to October 6, 2020, and in Table 3 for the week of October 7 to 13, 2020. New cases in the region totaled to 79,053 on October 6, 2020, and to 42,837 on October 13, 2020.
