Real-World Insights Into Dementia Diagnosis Trajectory and Clinical Practice Patterns Unveiled by Natural Language Processing: Development and Usability Study

Real-World Insights Into Dementia Diagnosis Trajectory and Clinical Practice Patterns Unveiled by Natural Language Processing: Development and Usability Study

Early intervention can delay disease progression or alter the trajectory toward dementia [9,14,15]. However, dementia and its associated symptoms are frequently underreported and underdiagnosed in clinical practice [16,17]. As the condition progresses, patients commonly experience increased memory loss, deteriorating cognitive ability, heightened confusion, and changes in personality like agitation.

Urban-Rural Differences in the Association Between Internet Use Trajectories and Depressive Symptoms in Chinese Adolescents: Longitudinal Observational Study

Urban-Rural Differences in the Association Between Internet Use Trajectories and Depressive Symptoms in Chinese Adolescents: Longitudinal Observational Study

A longitudinal study of participants with a baseline age of 9.9 years reported significant increases in screen-based activities over 4 years: social media use rose from 0.5 to 2.5 hours per day, and video gaming from 0.9 to 2 hours per day, indicating an upward trajectory of internet use during early adolescence [19]. These evolving lifestyle patterns are well-established predictors of mental health outcomes [20].

Protective Effect of Allergen Immunotherapy in Patients With Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma Against COVID-19 Infection: Observational, Nationwide, and Multicenter Study

Protective Effect of Allergen Immunotherapy in Patients With Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma Against COVID-19 Infection: Observational, Nationwide, and Multicenter Study

It can alter the trajectory of allergic conditions by restoring immune homeostasis and shifting the predominance toward a more balanced Th1/Th2 response [22,23]. Notable, a nationwide population study revealed that patients with AS experience a higher risk of being prescribed with antibiotics for respiratory infections than those with nonallergic asthma. This finding suggests that treatment with AIT exerts a protective effect against such risks [24].

Identifying Reddit Users at a High Risk of Suicide and Their Linguistic Features During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Growth-Based Trajectory Model

Identifying Reddit Users at a High Risk of Suicide and Their Linguistic Features During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Growth-Based Trajectory Model

To address the heterogeneity among users and understand the temporal nature of suicide risk, using trajectory modeling techniques such as group-based trajectory modeling (GBTM) and growth curve modeling can be beneficial. These methods identify subgroups within a population that share similarities in outcomes over time [42]. The linguistic or language styles used in posts or comments can offer valuable insights into the experiences and perspectives of suicidal individuals.

Identifying Weekly Trajectories of Pain Severity Using Daily Data From an mHealth Study: Cluster Analysis

Identifying Weekly Trajectories of Pain Severity Using Daily Data From an mHealth Study: Cluster Analysis

Example selections of complete trajectory weeks for 2 participants. The participants join and leave the study at different times. One complete participant week from user 1 is included in the analysis. Two complete participant weeks from user 2 are included in the analysis.

Age Differences in the Association of Sleep Duration Trajectory With Cancer Risk and Cancer-Specific Mortality: Prospective Cohort Study

Age Differences in the Association of Sleep Duration Trajectory With Cancer Risk and Cancer-Specific Mortality: Prospective Cohort Study

For the first time, we measured the sleep duration trajectory by monitoring the sleep of participants from 2006 to 2010 and then elucidated the association of sleep duration trajectories with cancer risk and cancer-specific mortality. All participants were from the Kailuan cohort, part of an ongoing prospective study in Tangshan, China (Chi CTR-TNRC-11001489, registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry).

Identification of Psycho-Socio-Judicial Trajectories and Factors Associated With Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in People Over 15 Years of Age Who Recently Reported Sexual Assault to a Forensic Medical Center: Protocol for a Multicentric Prospective Study Using Mixed Methods and Artificial Intelligence

Bivariate and multivariate analyses, including trajectory analyses, will be conducted to examine the associations between each variable and mental, physical, social, and judicial outcomes at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after the SA. Results regarding the presence or absence of PTSD will serve as the basis for our predictive analyses.

Prediction Model for Postoperative Quality of Life Among Breast Cancer Survivors Along the Survivorship Trajectory From Pretreatment to 5 Years: Machine Learning–Based Analysis

Prediction Model for Postoperative Quality of Life Among Breast Cancer Survivors Along the Survivorship Trajectory From Pretreatment to 5 Years: Machine Learning–Based Analysis

In this study, we developed and validated factors associated with Qo L including physical, psychological, economic, spiritual, and social dimensions by survivorship trajectory using an ML algorithm. The developed model and external validation model performance were good for all survival trajectories. Before surgery, menopause symptoms and emotional function were important features. Within 1 year after the surgery period, physical function was the most important feature.

Contribution of Frailty to Multimorbidity Patterns and Trajectories: Longitudinal Dynamic Cohort Study of Aging People

Contribution of Frailty to Multimorbidity Patterns and Trajectories: Longitudinal Dynamic Cohort Study of Aging People

Moreover, frailty and multimorbidity evolve as people age, and these patterns can change over time, defining a trajectory. Only a few studies have been found that explored these trajectories [19], using hidden Markov models [23,35], latent class growth analysis [36], and descriptive statistics [37].

Positive Affective Recovery in Daily Life as a Momentary Mechanism Across Subclinical and Clinical Stages of Mental Disorder: Experience Sampling Study

Positive Affective Recovery in Daily Life as a Momentary Mechanism Across Subclinical and Clinical Stages of Mental Disorder: Experience Sampling Study

All groups showed a similar trajectory of positive affect in response to momentary stress, as indicated by a decrease in positive affect to event-related, activity-related, or composite stress, and a continuously lower level of positive affect before recovering to baseline level in response to activity-related or composite stress (H1). We observed a continuous recovery period of 180 minutes on average in patients and at-risk individuals, whereas controls required 90 minutes on average to recover.
