Reliability and Accuracy of the Fitbit Charge 4 Photoplethysmography Heart Rate Sensor in Ecological Conditions: Validation Study

Reliability and Accuracy of the Fitbit Charge 4 Photoplethysmography Heart Rate Sensor in Ecological Conditions: Validation Study

However, it should not be used for activities with “sharp” and random arm and wrist movements, such as soccer and racket sports, due to its sensitivity to motion artifacts. Hence, in ecological conditions, this device should not be used for research or training purposes due to the high artifact rate and LOA width.

Investigation of Study Procedures to Estimate Sensitivity and Reliability of a Virtual Physical Assessment Developed for Workplace Concussions: Method-Comparison Feasibility Study

Investigation of Study Procedures to Estimate Sensitivity and Reliability of a Virtual Physical Assessment Developed for Workplace Concussions: Method-Comparison Feasibility Study

The lack of documented reliability and sensitivity properties associated with measures administered in remote assessments of people with concussions poses a barrier to the ongoing use and availability of these remote assessments in practice. Further barriers to completing remote assessments include concerns regarding safety, environmental setup, and the need for support at home [14-17].

Assessment of the Effective Sensitivity of SARS-CoV-2 Sample Pooling Based on a Large-Scale Screening Experience: Retrospective Analysis

Assessment of the Effective Sensitivity of SARS-CoV-2 Sample Pooling Based on a Large-Scale Screening Experience: Retrospective Analysis

Although the likelihood of these false negatives is related to test sensitivity, it is always present. It was later described how the frequency of testing could be more important than its sensitivity [9], leading to the evaluation of concepts such as “the sensitivity of the test regimen” in the search for effective containment strategies [10].

Assessment of Clinical Metadata on the Accuracy of Retinal Fundus Image Labels in Diabetic Retinopathy in Uganda: Case-Crossover Study Using the Multimodal Database of Retinal Images in Africa

Assessment of Clinical Metadata on the Accuracy of Retinal Fundus Image Labels in Diabetic Retinopathy in Uganda: Case-Crossover Study Using the Multimodal Database of Retinal Images in Africa

Specificity and sensitivity of referable retinopathy were based on ICDR scores and ME calculated using a 2-sided t test. Comparison of sensitivity and specificity for ICDR and ME with and without metadata for each participant was calculated using the signed rank test.

Natural Language Processing Versus Diagnosis Code–Based Methods for Postherpetic Neuralgia Identification: Algorithm Development and Validation

Natural Language Processing Versus Diagnosis Code–Based Methods for Postherpetic Neuralgia Identification: Algorithm Development and Validation

It is defined as a weighted harmonic mean of sensitivity and PPV, where the parameter β represents the relative importance of sensitivity versus PPV. Since a minority of patients with HZ will develop PHN and FNs and sensitivity are more important than PPV, we chose β=2 to favor sensitivity over PPV. The F-score’s value ranges from 0 to 1, with higher values suggesting better prediction.

The Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease Sentinel Surveillance System in South Korea: Retrospective Evaluation Study

The Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease Sentinel Surveillance System in South Korea: Retrospective Evaluation Study

For the sensitivity, the correlation coefficient between the number of monthly HFMD case notifications from the sentinel sites and the monthly number of patients with HFMD from KHIRA was >0.97 (good performance) from 2017 to 2019 and in 2022, while it was 0.70 and 0.77 (moderate performance) in 2020 and 2021, respectively (Table 1 and Multimedia Appendix 5).

The Impact of COVID-19 Health Measures on Adults With Multiple Chemical Sensitivity: Cross-Sectional Study

The Impact of COVID-19 Health Measures on Adults With Multiple Chemical Sensitivity: Cross-Sectional Study

Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), also known as toxicant-induced loss of tolerance, has been described as a chronic condition that develops in response to repeated small-level chemical exposures or a major exposure in a subset of people [1-3].

The Clinical Suitability of an Artificial Intelligence–Enabled Pain Assessment Tool for Use in Infants: Feasibility and Usability Evaluation Study

The Clinical Suitability of an Artificial Intelligence–Enabled Pain Assessment Tool for Use in Infants: Feasibility and Usability Evaluation Study

Therefore, in this study, we assessed the accuracy and precision of the Pain Chek infant tool, together with the sensitivity and specificity for different cutoff scores using receiver operator characteristic (ROC) analysis. Clinician comprehensibility was evaluated using a standardized questionnaire. Additional feasibility aspects were evaluated based on comparison with currently available observational pain assessment tools for use in infants with procedural pain.

Accuracy of COVID-19–Like Illness Diagnoses in Electronic Health Record Data: Retrospective Cohort Study

Accuracy of COVID-19–Like Illness Diagnoses in Electronic Health Record Data: Retrospective Cohort Study

Table 3 summarizes the sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV for each CLI definition among hospitalizations. Among CLI hospitalizations in adults, COVID-19–specific codes had the highest sensitivity (91.6%) and specificity (99.6%) in identifying patients with SARS-Co V-2 PCR positivity. Using the VISION CLI definition, the sensitivity remained high (95.8%), but the specificity was considerably lower (45.5%).
