Associations of Wearable Activity Tracker Use With Physical Activity and Health Outcomes in Patients With Cancer: Findings from a Population-Based Survey Study

Associations of Wearable Activity Tracker Use With Physical Activity and Health Outcomes in Patients With Cancer: Findings from a Population-Based Survey Study

A few observational studies have examined the associations of wearable activity trackers with physical activity among general adults [12] and older adults [13], but the generalization to patients with cancer is limited.

Drug Use Behaviors and the Risk of HIV Infection Among Drug Users in China Between 2014 and 2021: Cross-Sectional Study

Drug Use Behaviors and the Risk of HIV Infection Among Drug Users in China Between 2014 and 2021: Cross-Sectional Study

However, recent studies among never and former IDUs identified associations, suggesting that sexual transmission accounts for a substantial number of HIV seroconversions in these populations. In recent years, the use of new drugs (recreational drugs) such as new psychoactive substances has gradually surpassed the use of traditional drugs. These new drugs have strong euphoric effects and can reduce pain during anal sex among men who have sex with men and prolong the duration of sexual activity [8].

COVID-19–Related Social Isolation, Self-Control, and Internet Gaming Disorder Among Chinese University Students: Cross-Sectional Survey

COVID-19–Related Social Isolation, Self-Control, and Internet Gaming Disorder Among Chinese University Students: Cross-Sectional Survey

Based on these findings, this study aims to explore the associations among social isolation, self-control, and IGD and to examine the mediating effect of self-control on the relationship between social isolation and IGD in university students during the COVID-19 pandemic and related lockdown procedures in mainland China. A cross-sectional study design was employed. University students who were Chinese and familiar with communication software (eg, We Chat, QQ) were invited to participate in this study.

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Consequently, different types of regression modeling approaches were required to examine the associations between digital maturity levels (underdeveloped versus advanced) and The Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Grades, practices, and outcomes. The regression methodologies used in each case are described in the following paragraphs.

Association Between Serum Glycated Hemoglobin Levels at Early Gestation and the Risk of Subsequent Pregnancy Loss in Pregnant Women Without Diabetes Mellitus: Prospective Cohort Study

Association Between Serum Glycated Hemoglobin Levels at Early Gestation and the Risk of Subsequent Pregnancy Loss in Pregnant Women Without Diabetes Mellitus: Prospective Cohort Study

Previous studies have reported associations of Hb A1c levels of pregnant women with insulin-dependent diabetes and SPL risk [12-14]. However, little is known about these associations in pregnant women without diabetes. An Hb A1c test at the first prenatal visit has been recommended for those at risk of developing gestational diabetes only, including having obesity and having a family history of gestational diabetes, but not yet for the general population of pregnant women [11,15,16].

Joint Modeling of Social Determinants and Clinical Factors to Define Subphenotypes in Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Survival: Cluster Analysis

Joint Modeling of Social Determinants and Clinical Factors to Define Subphenotypes in Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Survival: Cluster Analysis

Several studies have also found contrasting results, with area-level SDOH factors not demonstrating strong associations with outcomes. In a non-OHCA study specifically assessing the predictive performance of neighborhood-level SDOH for risk prediction, the authors found that SDOH data did not improve models beyond baseline electronic health record data [33]. Our work has identified 4 unique Medicare beneficiary subphenotypes tied to long-term OHCA outcomes in the context of several SDOH domains.

Within-Person Associations of Accelerometer-Assessed Physical Activity With Time-Varying Determinants in Older Adults: Time-Based Ecological Momentary Assessment Study

Within-Person Associations of Accelerometer-Assessed Physical Activity With Time-Varying Determinants in Older Adults: Time-Based Ecological Momentary Assessment Study

Specifically, the study examined within-person associations with light PA (LPA), moderate to vigorous PA (MVPA), and total PA (TPA) performed in the 15, 30, 60, and 120 minutes after the EMA trigger. Various time frames were selected to capture the acute temporal nature of the associations and to examine whether the associations differed or changed depending on the time frame.
