In the Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community, those aged 60 years or older accounted for 7.3% of the 2808 self-reported incidents in 2020 [3]. Though not a particularly large figure, underreporting in this community is fairly common [4]. Moreover, older adults have reported being physically assaulted and having to deal with civil rights violations more than the general AAPI community [3].

Social Support and Technology Use and Their Association With Mental and Physical Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic Among Asian Americans: The COMPASS Cross-sectional Study

This study sought to inform mental health providers, public health officials, and community partners about the role of social support in mental and physical health during the pandemic as well as the impact of the increased use of technology in AAPI communities. There were 5418 participants who completed the survey from October 24, 2020, to April 10, 2021.
